Service Description

A tried and tested renowned small group course providing profound healing properties. Giving a deep understanding and embodied experience of physiological and psychological dimensions of stress, anxiety and depression and a toolkit to help you manage your short and long-term health. We will use asana (movement and poses), pranayama (breathwork) and mindfulness meditation techniques based upon mindfulness based cognitive therapy(MBCT) with psychotherapeutic holding You will get: *A weekly 2 hour class. *A comprehensive manual to support in understanding of the why and how. Education and empowerment based on evidence and science, blending both modern and ancient wisdoms. Management tools for mental health. Breath, body and mind practices for on and off the yoga mat (transmittable life skills). Enhanced concentration and focus. Tools for safety and self-regulation (controlling one's behaviour, emotions, and thoughts in the pursuit of long-term goals), by using the tools that you can call on at anytime. Increased tolerance for discomfort. Increased resilience. Optional opportunities to have your voice or silence heard, and listen to others experiencing challenges in daily life with short sharing circles to close each session. Reading material to support your learning including a comprehensive manual Home practice to embed your skills and develop a self-care practice Numbers are kept small and in a closed group so we will be together for 8 weeks. Week 1-2 learn self regulation, and the impact of mood, breath and posture. Week 3-5 deepening understanding of emotional health and the role of the body Week 6-8 working with the mind Each week follows a specific theme related to healing, building on cumulative principles and practises from the previous weeks. You need not be experienced in yoga or mindfulness to appreciate the benefits. For those who prefer to work individually, or if the fixed dates and times do not suit private 1:1 sessions can be arranged at a time to suit you. 1:1 Yoga therapy sessions provide an opportunity for us to work together on a deeper level to tailor a programme specific to your current needs.
